I began the journey in 1996 of owning my own business due to the lack of fulfillment that I had found during my search for inner peace. I had been on this quest for inner peace since I was about 20 years old. Nothing resonated with my core spiritual truth, whether it was through books, seminars, workshops, or churches. I wasn’t displeased with any of the teachings; however, none of them fully encompassed what was at the core of me.
I have great respect for people that have found one particular religious teaching or belief system that speaks to their heart fully and completely, however, I wondered why I couldn’t find that for myself. Then it came to me through an intuitive message. Which was; that I was developing my own intuition through each of these experiences so that I could later teach others to do the same. I am not here to teach anyone a belief system, only to provide support through my own intuitive guidance as others develop theirs. Everyone is intuitive, once they remove the mind chatter and judgments that are getting in the way of hearing their messages.
As the world continues to challenge our everyday lives through human difficulties, I believe we must find our connection to Source in order to live a life filled with joy. This can be done in various ways dependng on your personal belief system. As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher but had no idea what I wanted to teach. What I did know, is that I had the ability to communicate with people that had passed over and spirit guides. Out of self judgment, and the judgments of others, I chose to shut it down for a very long time. Once I removed my own self- judgment (you can read more on how I did this, from my first book “Stepping Beyond Judgment, Embracing Your Truth”) I was able to embrace my true calling, which was to teach others how to listen to their intuition. Intuition is the ability to listen to your Inner Voice, God, Instincts, or whatever personal Higher Source you believe in.
I have developed a curriculum designed to remove anything that is blocking your connection to Source, as well as a support system while on this journey. It is not religious in nature and is designed to give you the tools necessary to achieve this goal through personal inquiry and discipline. Each course is uniquely designed to address a particular block/wound that has clogged the path to your true communication. My book Divine Wisdom outlines the curriculum, but of course the classes themselves delve much deeper into clearing the passageway and your ability to listen to your own inner guidance.
After making the decision that I would commit my life to teaching people how to listen to their intuition, I needed to build a plan on how this was going to look physically in my life. Beginning with what do I call the business? In 1996 I was driving my oldest son Jacob to school one day and I asked him “what do you think I should call my new business”? His reply was without a moment of hesitation “Intuitive Development”. And so it began…
