I’ve been contemplating what my time with Intuitive Development has meant to me. The question that came up, was “What are some of your favorite things about ID?” Not only don’t they have raindrops on roses, but I’ve never seen any whiskered kittens running around the offices, so what is it that’s kept me coming back month after month for the last 13 years?
As I thought about it, I realized that my very favorite thing about Intuitive Development is embodied in the company tag line – “Embrace your truth.” It’s about self-awareness. It’s about discovering what my truth is. It’s about learning to tap into my own wisdom—the intuition, gut feeling, guidance system, answers to prayers…whatever it is that I believe gives me answers to make choices in my own life.
What do I mean by choices? It’s everything from what I should feed my body today, to whether I should find a new job, whether I should take that Spanish class, how I should respond to someone who is frustrating me, who are the right people to surround myself with, and even to making choices as seemingly inconsequential as what to wear to work.
I found that the classes offered at ID are structured to help me discover more about who I am and what I believe, what strengths I have and what events in my life caused the wounds that color how I view the world and how I respond to things that happen. I also discovered that I judged often and deeply and that judgment kept me stuck in pain, struggle and fear. The most revealing truth I discovered was that I not only judged others for their words and actions, but I also judged myself for not saying the right thing, not doing the right thing, not being good enough, not standing up for myself. You know the million criticisms that rattle around in your head and keep you from moving forward in your life—that was how I was living my life. I realized that I was spending much more time rehashing and judging the past than in envisioning and working to manifest my future.
Through the work at ID, I’ve learned tons of other things but some of the most important are:
- Time is critical. I have an expiration date. My time is limited. Any time not spent in moving my life forward, is wasted. I can never get that time back, so what am I waiting for?
- Listening to my intuition is paramount to living the life I’m meant to live. Second-guessing or ignoring my messages results in not achieving the outcomes that I desire. It’s like having the treasure map to the buried gold and gemstones but not using it.
- I can’t do it alone. My days of being the “lone wolf” who didn’t need help from anyone had to end. I needed to accept support and cultivate relationships with people I could collaborate with. These were the people who would hold me accountable and call me on my s**t when I couldn’t or wouldn’t see the truth.
- I am here for a reason. I need to resist the events, people and decisions that take me off my path. I need to focus my time and energy in moving forward.
One of the most outstanding things I’ve gained from my time at Intuitive Development are the tools to understand where I’m stuck in my life and relationships and why. But even better than the recognition of where I am, is the fact that I also have the tools to know what action I need to take in any situation to get myself “unstuck” and moving down the path that will take me where I want and need to be in this life.
No matter who you are and what you believe in, there is something for everyone at Intuitive Development. It’s not about a doctrine or specific set of beliefs; it’s about examining yourself and discovering your own truth and how to achieve whatever it is that you want to manifest in your life.
I believe so strongly in the powerful journey that my participation has set me on, that I have recommended the classes to my family and friends.
I challenged them to stop wasting time looking in the rear-view mirror and embark on the journey to discover what they are meant to be and grab onto the tools that they need to get there—the tools offered by Intuitive Development. Several have taken the challenge and are achieving their goals.
What are you waiting for?
